Brink’s Home Security Extinct: Best Alternative

That’s right. Brink’s Home Security is no more. Brink’s Home Security was taken over by Broadview Security in 2008, which a year or so later became a part of ADT! So basically, Brink’s and ADT is now one and the same. However this has come at a great cost. Brink’s was known for it’s extremely efficient home security services and customer support, and sadly, ADT hasn’t been able to keep up with the quality. So if you’re looking for a Brink’s home security system because you’ve heard some great things about them in the past, then you should now start looking for a similar alternative that offers at least the same level of quality that Brink’s once offered. ADT, sadly enough, just doesn’t cut it. To see what kind of a company ADT has become, watch the video down below.

So now that Brink’s is no more, and ADT will surely make your life miserable, what are you left with? A hundred or so other companies. But who is the best of them all, based on unbiased and impartial hard facts?  - FrontPoint Security. Yes, FrontPoint Security has come a long way since 2005. I’m sure you must have heard of them by now. FrontPoint has become extremely popular in the home security market due to the full star reviews they have been getting on reputable third party review sites like Yelp and the BBB.

Do yourself a favor and watch this 1-minute video. Trust me, you’ll thank me for it later. Consider Brinks’ extinction as a blessing in disguise!

I enjoyed reading this blog. I dont feel that people take home security seriously and the sooner people realise that they need to help themselves in order to prevent crime the better!

There are reams of free information all over the web of how to protect your home. This is all easily accessible and can offer a wide range of tips and advice.

There is no excuse for people to overlook the protection of their home or family.

Keep up the work on your great site!

    Hi Terry,

Thank you for your kind words! And I totally agree, the web is full of information for the inquisitive consumer who wishes to know more about a product before buying it.

It’s a smart act and one that shouldn’t lead you to any regrets later on, which is especially true with regards to the home security industry!

Hmm… My friends just got an ADT system installed. I’ll definitely be forwarding this post to them, there’s a lot of information on your blog that they should see.

My home in Streamwood was robbed few hr ago. Now I am looking for security system to order.

  • Angelina

I didn’t realize it had been so long since Brink’s went under! They were a great company.

  • Yanella

I have only just begun looking for a home security system, and I have never heard of FrontPoint before. I will look at them, as the only company I know much of is ADT, and I haven’t heard many good things about them!

  • Brent

Interesting. Is FrontPoint reviewed anywhere else besides Yelp and BBB? I’d like to get as much information as possible before I buy.

  • Xavier

I did watch the video, and I do thank you for it! I was a little underwhelmed by the available options for quality security companies, but FrontPoint definitely looks like a good choice.

  • Christina

I was sad to see Brink’s go… and even sadder once ADT started piling on the fees :(

  • Victor

Thanks for the advice. I haven’t seen a lot of reviews for home security systems at all, and even fewer positive ones.

  • Denver

I saw this a little too late – I already gave up and went with ADT! I wish I had kept looking, thanks anyway for the post.

  • Uriel

Are there any particular areas where FrontPoint is more popular? I haven’t seen much about them around here, but they do look great.

  • Erica

Where I live, he town doesn’t seem to be very friendly with home security systems. On top of the registration fees for the service, my town hall requires an extra thirty dollars a month to keep my alarm registered with the police and fire dept. Is that normal?

  • Jahangir

Hmm..Erica, no I haven’t heard of anything like that before to be honest with you. I guess it’s something you’ll have to sort out with town hall. I don’t understand why hooking up your home security system with the police and fire department should be a problem for them. Go to them, and ask them what the fuss is about. I’m sure there must be a way around it somehow.
