Brink’s Home Security Merged Into ADT

That’s right. Brink’s Home Security is no more. Brink’s Home Security was taken over by Broadview Security in 2008, which a year or so later became a part of ADT! So basically, Brink’s and ADT is now one and the same. However this has come at a great cost. Brink’s was known for it’s extremely efficient home security services and customer support, and sadly, ADT hasn’t been able to keep up with the quality. So if you’re looking for a Brink’s home security system because you’ve heard some great things about them in the past, then you should now start looking for a similar alternative that offers at least the same level of quality that Brink’s once offered. Are there any particular areas where FrontPoint is more popular? I haven’t seen much about them around here, but they do look great.

Where I live, he town doesn’t seem to be very friendly with home security systems. On top of the registration fees for the service, my town hall requires an extra thirty dollars a month to keep my alarm registered with the police and fire dept. Is that normal?

Hmm..Erica, no I haven’t heard of anything like that before to be honest with you. I guess it’s something you’ll have to sort out with town hall. I don’t understand why hooking up your home security system with the police and fire department should be a problem for them. Go to them, and ask them what the fuss is about. I’m sure there must be a way around it somehow.

I was a Brinks customer and loved the company and its services. I am more than unhappy that they were taken over by ADT and I am very much frustrated by their horrible customer policy. I will get out of the contract as soon as possible.

Wow, the video is quite shocking, but unfortunately, this is what most companies are like, right? Thanks for offering an alternative with FrontPoint. I will do a bit more research before I get my quote. This site is invaluable.

I have to admit that I never heard of FrontPoint Security. But that doesn’t mean they’re not good. It just means that I haven’t done enough research. There are so many companies out there that it’s hard to find the right one and the best one. I will see what FrontPoint has to offer.

I am still with ADT and I really don’t like the changes they have made in the recent years. They used to be a good company but you are right, they are making my life miserable right now. FrontPoint sounds so much better.

I worked for Brinks Home Security for 16 years. The board of directors and Bob Aleen sold us all down the river. Adt took Brinks motto of Creating Customers For Life. But the truth be told ADT does not care about the customer. Only that you pay your bill and do not complain.ADT bough Brinks Home Security to get rid of it’s biggest and better security company. It been a nightmare since ADT took over. The government should never have let this happen.Look for a good security company and stay away from ADT..
